Disability Inclusive Training in Ratanakiri

As part of ongoing collaboration between PAfID and Care Cambodia in Ratanakiri province to strengthen Inclusive Services for Indigenous People (SISIP), including those with disabilities, our PAfID team had the pleasure of leading a training session on Disability Inclusion for CARE staff, partners, and local OPDs in Ratanakiri on June 11–12, 2025.
 The training focused on:
✅ Understanding disability: definitions, types of impairments, models of disability, and the everyday barriers people with disabilities face.
✅ Learning about Cambodia’s disability law and rights through group discussions and interactive presentations.
✅ How to communicate effectively and respectfully with people with different types of disabilities.
✅ Exploring practical ways to make inclusion real in programs and communities.

A total of 24 participants joined us; including 10 women, 3 persons with disabilities, and 20 indigenous participants.

Together, we are working towards more inclusive communities where the voices of all, including those often marginalized, are recognized and respected.
